About me

In July 2009 I took a seat as one of Finland 13 MEPs. I was elected to the European Parliament on the list of the Swedish People's Party's in Finland in June. The years before I worked for the Finnish Government. Since November 2008 I have held the post of state secretary with responsibility for culture, sports, youth and equality matters. Before that I was an assistant to Ministers Astrid Thors and Stefan Wallin.

During my "free time" I am actively involved in local politics as a member of the Espoo City Council. I also hold positions of trust in the Uusimaa Regional Council and the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities.

When I am not around the conference table I enjoy sports and spending time with my family. I have a master's degree in economics from the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration. Below is my CV.

During the past ten years I have had numerous tasks in the Swedish People's Party and its youth organisation, Svensk Ungdom.

Business activities

I have also worked as an entrepreneur in the printing field in the past. In addition I am a partner in two small companies that operate in the internet media and sales field.
